The Earl and Countess of Carnarvon are delighted to welcome guests for a summer’s evening reception including Special Castle Tours, Champagne and Canapés. The event is in aid of King’s College Hospital Charity’s ‘Transforming Liver Care’ appeal focused on improving the lives and outcomes for children with liver disease.
King’s College Hospital is home to the world’s largest children’s liver unit, providing a national service, treating over 3,000 young patients a year from all over the UK and carrying out liver transplants of more than 50 children each year, more than anywhere else in the country. Our world class clinicians provide lifesaving care and we are also at the forefront of pioneering new treatments through research undertaken in the Alex Mowat Paediatric Research Laboratories.
You will be able to explore the rooms downstairs as well as the Gallery bedrooms and the staircases, so familiar to fans of “Downton Abbey,” before wending your way down to explore the Egyptian Exhibition. The 5th Earl of Carnarvon and Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. This exhibition curates some beautiful works from antiquity as well taking you through the story of the discovery, from treasure and tragedy.
Tickets are £125 per person and your support will help raise vital funds for King’s College Hospital Charity to fight liver disease in critically ill children.
