Reflecting Peckham III is an exhibit of local contemporary artists; each producing distinctive and unique artwork shaped by their own history and experiences.
This year's collection includes 'The Act of Protection' by Tom Leighton, which explores and comments on our recognition of the NHS, how we have been protecting others and ourselves and what impact single use items have had on our environment.
Tom is a former patient of King's and will be donating a portion of his art sales to King's College Hospital Charity.
'The Act of Protection' exhibit will be taking place at the Copeland Gallery at the following times:
- Friday 17 September from 18:00 - 21:00
- Saturday 18 September from 11:00 - 18:00
- Sunday 19 September from 11:00 - 18:00
Please head to the artist's website to purchase a print.
"Seeing discarded face masks on the ground demonstrated to me a lack of consideration for those who might have to clean up the streets and little regard for the impact this behaviour would have on the other’s health and the environment. The Act of Protection asks us to consider who we are protecting, how we protect them, and why."
